What to Expect at Louvre Abu Dhabi
The Louvre Abu Dhabi is known not only for its art collection but also for the building’s architecture. The massive dome of Louvre Abu Dhabi consists of approximately 7,850 stars and has a diameter of 180 m. Sunlight passes through the structure’s complex geometry via openings in the dome’s layers, creating an effect inside that literally looks like a ‘rain of light’. In addition, at the museum you can enjoy artwork from different civilizations and historical periods.
Inside the museum as a visitor, you can use free Wi-Fi and cloakrooms. You can find an ATM and toilets in the building. There are also separate prayer rooms. If you need a wheelchair, stroller, or first aid services, they can all be found inside the Louvre Museum. There is also a boutique which sells books and souvenirs, as well as a museum cafe with a wide range of dishes and a special menu for children. Outside the museum, you can also visit the art lounge.
